i replaced the speed sensor in the rear end, i was garenteed that was the peoblem. they were wrong the abs light is still on all the time. when i replaced the sensor the light stayed off till i steped on the breaks again.
fluid is fine, and i didnt have batterys in the pickup for at least 2 weeks, wouldnt that have reset it? and somthing is wrong when i hook up a code reader it wont cominucate with it. in either the OBD2 port or the old OBD1 port under the hood. and i was readin somthin about there being a ABS sensor on each wheel?
Not saying that this is the answer, but check that the connector hasn't come loose. It is in the vicinity of the master cylinder. I was under the hood and knocked mine off once and the light would come on after I touched the brakes.
My ABS light would not go off either after I replaced my rear ABS sensor. After researching around, we found out it was the RABS Valve. It is located on the frame rail on the drivers side near the front wheel. You can pick one up at NAPA for around $150 (if I remember correctly). I replaced it, and have not had any other problems.
Is that just one long nut or is it a adapter , and it wont budge . I cant back it out im afraid ill crack something
please I need suggestions on how to get it out.
