91 ABS lights ALWAYS on.
I have a 91 5spd. Ever since I have owned the vehicle (about 4 years now) the ABS light has stayed on. I have done a little research on the system and found that basically there are three componenets to this system. The sensor in the diff case, the computer, and the actuator. I have replaced the sensor in the diff case and no luck. The light is off when I first start the truck. It comes on when I release the brake pedal. It hasn't given me any trouble but I thought that it was high time to fix it. I would just start replacing parts but the computer and sensor are both at $200 a piece. Someone told me that there was a way to run a test on the ABS computer to verify on what is wrong. Does anyone here have a good ideas on how to start to troubleshoot this?

This is probably a dumb question, but have you tried disconnecting the battery for about 10 minutes?? Sometimes a 'false' code will be sent to a warning light, and it will stay on until reset. Disconnecting the battery will reset it. If it comes back on, then you need to continue to troubleshoot it.
