hey i forgot to put this in my other post but my steering wheel feels like it has to much play in it adn it feels like i dont have alot of control of the truck. should i replace the stering shaft etc. or what please help i dont wanna fly off the road
All good advice---on my 2000 Nav the idler arm was totally shot at 40K----check it=-=pass side attached with huge bolts to the frame---have someone move steering quickly left to right while you are underneath watching and feeling---mine was moving a good quarter to half inch---AND it's one of the few front end parts that has a grease fitting and had been greased! Go figure. I'm not sure that Idler arm could also be called drag link? Just not sure but if you look on the pass side it's the arm that holds that side of the steering linkage up---drivers side is the pitman arm. Good luck
well before i go under the truck i wanna ask, are these trucks sopposed to handle that way i mean it doesnt feel as tight as my moms chrysler sebring but it just feels a little looser than that. i just started driving last week so i havnt experienced a whole bunch of cars nor another expedition. i did drive my dads blazer which had pretty nice tight steering but idk , so do these trucks just handle that way becuase they are so big, adn can i buy somehting or replace some parts like the sway bars or anything?
