Turbo surge. You will get this real bad when you do an exhaust, open intake and chip mod. That is the only reason for a Wicked Wheel, unless you just want one for the sound. If you note on a site that offers the Wicked Wheel, they will state that this is not for a performance gain. You may get a little quicker spool-up, but that is it.

Sounds great from the inside also. It does not have a lot more boost, as a matter of fact; you will probably loose a little boost. It is just more efficient at moving the air. There is absolutely no performance gain with the Wicked Wheel.
i was talking about the 6.0 running higher boost pressures, because a stock programmed one can hit about 25 psi pretty easy. i know the WW will make it loose 2-3LB of boost.
the WW varies between 60 and 90 bucks. as far as it not having any performance enhancing capability, I say BULL. now that the flutter is gone I no longer have to lift on the throttle pullin a grade to stop the flutter. now I just keep on it. It may not be a performance mod but it is a fix for a performance robbing factory part. as far as the boost goes, I used to be able to pull 25lbs and set off the ses light, now I can only pull 23. good enough for me.

kenzmad
got mine delivered yesterday... debating on putting it in this weekend, i'll probably deal with the rain and mud, i'm not made of sugar so i won't melt... as for the boost... this is just what i'm hoping for kenzmad, 23-24 lbs of boost, (instead of 25-28), but able to keep my foot in it when pulling the hills..!
johnny8, in the famous words of the tennis shoe gurus, JUST DO IT! I did mine in the rain. dont worry only half of you is gonna get wet., the whole back half. when I was done it looked like I laid in a bathtub filled with 3" of water. do it tomorrow and we wont hear from you until late sunday nite cuz your gonna be out driving your truck like its brand new.
I'm getting 24 pounds of boost with mine. I also have the magnaflow exhaust and the upgraded ford air filter system. The turbo wheel is only one part of the equation. It's all about smooth unrestricted airflow. I love this mod. I also love the whistle. The whistle is not very loud and only happens when I mash on it.
