99 Explorer starting problem????
It doesn't matter if the weather is hot or cold or if the engine is hot or cold. The problem is intermittant but is happening more often. The problem is when you try to start the engine and hold the key on for the usual time, the engine starts but only runs at about 400rpm. When you put it in gear it dies. If you drive it with two feet to keep the rpms up it will eventually fix itself. If you hold the key on for an extra long peiod of time.....it will eventually start OK. But that is going to kill my starter....plus the wife hates that the truck doesn't start on the first zing. It seems there is a sensor gone bad....please help.
