I'm putting a 1976 351w into my 1986 f-150 that currently has a 300 6cyl.

I am under the impression that the I6 and the Windsor family of motors share the same perches. Now the mounts are probably different...

I6 and Windsor perches are different. Just get a set of 302 or 351w perches from a wrecker (from 80-96 truck) or parts supplier and you'll be all set.

I6 and the "FE" motors use the same perches.

I believe in his 86 that 2wd and 4x4 perches would be the same, since both use the same frame in those years. 73-79 however, the perches are indeed different between 2wd and 4x4.

The perches in my truck will not work with the 351w. Will napa or car quest have perches. Are there any online stores that have them?
