351m perches

I am about to swap a 351m into my 78 f250 4x4. I have a set of 302 perches, will this work or do I have to go hunting for 351m perches?
Thanks in advance
Greg C

Yep, they'll work. 302 & 351m/400 use the same perches.

Then I wonder if they are the same as the 300 I-6 perches? I want to pull my 300 out to put in a great running 400 into my 80 Bronco.

300 uses different perches than 302/351/400.

The 300 perches sit about 5 inches further forward than the 335 series

So could I just move the 300 perches or would I need to come up with a set of 302/351W perches to make the 400 fit?

Even if you moved the perches they would be too far apart, The 6 is a narrower block. If you were to move them you would probably have to weld them to the frame and use spacers under the rubber mount next to the block and find longer bolts, I am just guessing but I think you would need about one and a half inches per side. Just a thought I ve never done it.

Well I can get the 302/351 perches, so I'll get them and new 400 motor mounts and I guess it should all line up with a little persuading.

Thanks for the help, I'll ask questions if I run into more problems.

What you did was it able to work or what route did you take?
