Is there any auto parts store that carries engine perches? If not, is there any trick to getting the perch off? I would rather not spend hours drilling out those big rivet things holding on the drivers side perch.
I just made another post about perches! I don't think you can get the perches at a store. They have to be a boneyard special.... Do you have a picture of them that you could post for me please? Also, what tranny do you have?
I find using a center punch, and then using a drill bit to get rid of most of the metal on the head of the rivet is fastest for me. With most of the metal drilled away, then the chisel works very fast.
