I have a friend that has Thrush glass packs on his Silverado. I think it sounds horrible. Like a ricer on steroids. The good thing about glasspacks are that they take up zero room under the truck. The bad thing is that they sound cheap. But thats just me.
I have a set of Thrush Turbos (not glass packs) on my Bronco. However I do not have a stock engine. They sound good for the price, ran out of money after engine build, but when you get on it they sound pretty good.

I have 12" glass packs backwards(loudest I could make it)on my 77 F-100 and plan on putting the same set up on my 79 Bronco. I really like the sound personally. I think Flowmasters sound good, but I like some poping and the flowmasters are mostly a deep growle.
If you don't want to loud, they make 18" 24" and I think 36", find what ever size your muffler is and get the same size glass pack for a decent sound.
I was going to put a cherry bomb on my Bronco until I do exhaust work, but decided to leave it muffler less and no tail pipe.(Sounds ok, but to much harsh sounds that glass packs get rid of)
With my stock y-pipe and cats, I put a thrush glasspack on my bronco and it stayed on long enough for me to hear that it sounded like complete crap and i immediately took it off. A flowmaster i had on my bronco sounded extremely better to the point you can't even compare the 2.
