well i in stalled a thrush glass pack 32"/ 2 1/2 sounds great untill i go 30mph + then it hisses cant find any exaust leaks any advice will be greatly appreciated
I bet your running 2" tubing. You can read my opinion on glasspacks on the aftermarket parts forum. I say scrap them, go up to 2.5" from the manifold into a dual in dual out magnaflow/borla/flowmaster ect. and 3" out. That "hissing" sound at high RPMs is the most disgusting sound EVER! When I bought my bronco it had 2" pipe from front to rear, out the stock exit with dual 32" glasspacks. I was embarassed to drive it for the sound.

I personaly dont care for glasspacks. I have used them on chevys, dodges, and fords. The only good set up I had them on was a 77 chev malibu. 305 with long tube headers and cherry bombs on 3 in pipes that exited before the rear wheel. I also had them (for a short time) on a 98 Dakota RT. They sounded ok and were 2.5 in pipes front to rear with a cat. I dumped the cat, put a magnaflow single in/out in its place and turned the pipe out the side, it was 3 times louder, and had a ton more power. Now on to my bronco, when I bought it some clown put 2" pipes, front to rear on it with 32" glasspacks about half way down, no cats, 351w. It sounded like complete garbage above 2500 rmp. I bumped to 2.5" from the manifold to the dual in dual out magnaflow (which also acts as an xpipe because of the way it is built) and 3" out. I went from being scared to pull out in traffic to smoking my 33's on dry pavement. I know alot of guys are fond of glasspacks, but the technology has since improved dramaticaly. IF..IF IF IF, I were to ever HAVE to use glasspacks again, I would make sure they were behind a good set of headers, no cats, and there was an x or h pipe. Id use large diameter pipe and dump them short of the rear of the vehicle. Magnaflow all the way for me.
