There is a web site for the Green filter. Just do an internet search. It was a K&N "style" filter. It sort of hyped the filter media and construction of it. Mostly European in origin though. Hasn't caught on big in the states, but there are a bunch of dealers that carry them when I did a search. It looked like a good filter, but I'm a firm believer in the Donaldson that came in the truck. Better filtration(never been proven otherwise), and won't void the warranty on your expensive 6-oh. I've heard horror stories about dirt, sand, grit, water getting past those gauze filters. I put 35,000 on my stock filter, and not a trace of dust in my intake duct past the filter. The aftermarket filters don't give you any performance advantage unless you rev it past three grand or so, so every day to day driving it is of no significance in performance gain. Just do your research before you buy, and get advice from people on this forum that run what you want to run. It's like try before you buy. That's what's great about this site. Good luck.
I talked to a friend who is a 6.0 tech. He put the Green filter on his truck put has not run it long enough to know if his milage has improved. He said the place he works at can't hardly keep them in stock.
I run one, Cant see how it would be any different than a K&N Really.. Just alittle cheaper around here.. Good instructions (slight mod needed to fit)..
Bought mine the first day i got my truck, Ive put about 30k on it since, No dust in the intake tube..
I've heard from some of the 7.3 guys that they really like them. I haven't heard much from 6.0 owners though. The stock filter is not too bad for flow and filtering.
We ONLY sell the AFE Pro Guard 7 filters as they are the only washable filter to flow tons of air but stop the dirt. The typical 4 layer gauze filter will let a lot of dirt into your engine. The Green uses a cloth instead of gauze and does do a slightly better job but still lets in more dirt than I am willing to deal with. You can't use your intake tube as a sign of no dirt either. You must place some heavy grease in the tube and run for 5-10,000 miles to allow any dirt that gets thru to collect in the grease, then run your fungers thru the grease and rub them together, if there's dirt you'll know it in a second. If you want the cost savings of a washable filter get the Pro Guard 7, they have just come out with a replacement filter for the 6.0 that reuses the stock air box, no holes to drill and or rods to run thru the air box either to install it etc.
Here is some test data by an independent filter lab (Testand Corp) on various filtters, Green wasn't tested as they didn't have a filter for a Duramax when this test was done.

TOTAL DIRT PASSING THE FILTER DURING THE TEST. This is how much dirt your engine will take in if you use the filter for the duration that would cause the filter to become "dirty" enough to need replacement or cleaning. The "Dirt Passing The Filter" is the dirt collected by the "Post Filter" during the test.
FILTER DIRT IN GRAMS PASSED
AC Delco 0.4 g
Baldwin 1.1g
AFE Pro Guard 7 1.8g
Mystery Bargain 2.4g
Amsoil 2.7g
WIX/Napa 4.4g
Purolator 5.0g
K&N 6.0g
UNI 7.9g
Note: The Purolator was reported to have a seal malfunction during the test and passed more dirt than it would have with a good seal.
