does this system delete the cat? or do you use your factory cat? i am thinking about this system for my excursion they have mailed me paper work on it but have not gotten it yet and the pics do not show a cat converter so i am wondering? thanks
No, it does not delete the cat. In fact that section of mid-pipe stays on from the factory. What you will find is that the exhaust opens up very nice from the factory through the cat/mid-pipe area. I think this must be due to heat management. As for the rest of the factory system, well it is JUNK! The Power Pack was worth the price. It is costly but man, it wakes up the V10 big time. It makes the vehicle much nicer to drive. If you do get one, spend the extra money and get the Transcommand. The transmission now shifts like a truck should and it feels way better pulling my 5er. The headers are a really nice piece, some of the nicest I have seen, 5/8" flanges. I am very happy. The sound is also good but very mellow and not boomy in the cab. There is a huge difference in how hot the engine runs. When I was pulling grades before with my 5er, the engine fan was always on. Now, it rarely comes on even pulling the same grades, and the engine feels much happier when I am revving it with a load.
Yesterday I bought an 02 F-350 4X4 SC with the V-10.
The previous owner installed Borla headers and a Flowmaster cat back system on it but it wasn't loud enough for him. He then got true duals put on from the headers back, getting rid of the catalytic converter. He went with V-Force mufflers.
All I'll say is that a V-10 with true duals and loud mufflers sucks! It sounded like a Honda in heat.
Today I first put an X-pipe in between the pipes in front of the mufflers. That got rid of quit a bit of the "raspiness" but it was still way too loud for me so I got a couple full-size universal muffler shop type mufflers and installed them. It sounds much better now
Anyone else here have duals on their V-10?
One thing I would recommend for those going with the Banks setup. Get them coated. The flanges are not stainless, or at least not the type of stainless that resists rust well. I got a set used, and they sat for a couple weeks before I installed them, and the flanges got a little rusty. I cleaned them up and hit them with some high temp paint. Should hold up just fine here in Sunny California, but not so sure about up north or back east.
One thing I will say about the Ebay headers I ran. Nice and shiny with a heavy flange. Make sure you check the flange for flatness. Mine were out maybe .040" in the middle. Took care of it at a friends shop, but if I knew about it earlier I would have sent them back.

Howdy Racerguy, I have duals w/Magnaflow's and I love my sound.Very deep at low rpms and wails very nicely at higher rpms.A h-pipe will give a lower sound than a x-pipe.Have any pics yet? You can check out mine in my gallery.
I've got a 2005 Honda Rubicon. It's my first ATV. So far it's all stock other than a Warn 2500 winch and a trunk on the back. Bought it in early summer and have almost 1000 kms on it now.
I added some pics of the truck to my gallery. For some ATVing pics you can look at http://ca.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/rac...lbum?.dir=4526
