The intermediate band is your second gear, which makes or breaks you at the track. Changing out the servo is a bolt-in deal.
Where is the Servo on the transmission and where can I buy an R Code servo?

thansk for the help...

Well, more parts are on the way.

Lakewood 30" heavy duty traction bars. This ought to give me the confidence to use the sticky tires and warm them up a little.

B&M SHift kit

A bunch of ARP header bolts. The bunch I purchased earlier aren't quite long enough to use with lock-washers. And they keep coming off. But with the 14 bolts per side, I still don't get any leaks :-)

I had an Edelbrock 100-250HP NOS kit in the "cart" as well. But decided I better get everything else working consistently before I go there :-) But, that's probably the kit I'll go for when I'm ready. I figure I'll only be able to use it in 3rd gear. But, maybe these traction bars and sticky tires will allow for some more power at launch (I doubt it).

I should have it all Wed. Hopefully I can get it installed and hit the track Wed. night and get that 13!

Damn Greg, Ya trying to get that thing to do wheelies?? I'am not sure that 30" bars will be long enough? maybe tho? I think maybe ladder bars would work better..But then again Sean ran slapper bars on his truck..Upside down tho..LOL.. they seemed to work that way?

And any Trans shop worth there saly should be able to orser you a "R" servo...and its on the right side of the tranny..looks like a little round plate...LOL.. I see your going to make Damn sure your in the 13's your next trip to the track huh!!

Check out www.redrider.us. I got the Superior Super Servo. These guys have a whole lot of trick tranny parts including complete transmissions. If you go NOS, you might want to consider one of their units. It's a fun site to browse if nothing else (and an easy place to spend money ).

Small celebration: My tranny leak appears to have gone away :-)

I gotta go back to work today. So, I probably won't make the track tonight. next week i'll be on a Schooner off the coast of Venezuela. So, it's looking like at least 2 weeks before i get to the track. Hope it cools down some. Supposed to be 102 today. Welcome to fall in Texas.

I drove the truck to work twice this week with no issues. Even the electric exhaust cut-outs are working again. I forgot how much fun those are.

Russ, unfortunately work and the track are two different directions from me house.

the Schooner is 248ft long, so I 'll be sharing it with a 100 or so other peolpe and crew. that's assuming I can get out of Houston on Sunday at noon. Rita might mess up our plans. :-(

Well Greg, from what I see of the path of Rita so far...Its just going to be off shore Sat. Morning, and well inland by Saunday morn...but I would think as big as it is the back side of the storm will still be just off shore or coming on shore by then??

And she looks Like a nasty SOB...Good Luck and be careful !!

I think the wife and I have deceided to get while the gettin' is good. We're gonna leave early for Miami. Waiting for Rita, we'll probably end up missing the boat, literally. i'll be out of touch for about a week. Ya'll have fun.

I'll be trying for that 13 second time slip soon after I get back. Provided Texas is still here when I get back.
