I don't have the original kickdown bracket on my tranny, just the threaded "shaft" that comes through the center of the actual shifting linkage ('71 C6). I'm assuming this threaded shaft is where the factory kickdown bracket is supposed to go??
My quetion is, do I need to go find a bracket in the junkyard for this, or does the lokar kickdown kit have the bracket in it already? I appreciate the feedback
I needed to use the Lokar kickdown cable when I installed the 460 in my Bronco as the Dinosaur arm wouldn't work.
The Lokar kit comes with a bracket to hold the cable down at the Tranny end, but not up at the Carb end, I had to fabricate a bracket out of 1/8" Aluminum 1/2"x2" L channel.
