My check engine light came on the other day.
The truch is running fine so I decided to try to pull the codes. But I cant find the test port. I looked for almost an hour.
I must be stupid or blind or both. Can any post a picture of where the Test port is? All I can find on the net is "Passenger side fire wall".
I hope this hasnt been posted a million times. I did a search and read the FAQ but wasnt able to find anything.
The '95s have the OBD-II style test port which is inside the cab, under the drivers' side dash. Some '95 Rangers are fully OBD-II compliant, while others are not. 1995 was a transition year between OBD-I and OBD-II.
Code 1443. Evaportive Emmisions control system valve.
The guy at autozone said it was a leaking Gas cap????
Is the cap broken or loose? I doubt it. The parts store people like to say "gas cap" every time they see an EVAP code, but 99% of the time it has nothing to do with that.
