Hey all,
I am currently looking for some new tires, and figured that I may want to add a new set of rims so I can go alittle wider.
I had Firestones on it first and got only 33k out of them. I put a set of Cooper Discoverer AT's on it after and got about 60k out of those!
I am really looking for some good long lasting tire suggestions... I dont haul anything with my 01 psd cc 4x4 but do have to deal with snow for about 13 months a year...(o.k. maybe only 4 months, but it seems longer!) I pretty much stick to hiway driving 99.9% of the time and my truck isnt lifted (yet).
I would like to go possibly alittle taller and wider...
Like I said I am looking for possibly a tire and wheel combo. Any suggestions and if you can direct me to a good dealer either online or in the Green Bay Wi area would be very helpful.
Thanks, Scott
Scott, you might go to UserCP link at the top left and put in a signature to let everyone have a way to find out what you have. It will put in a link in the title bar of each post you make that goes to the sig.'
What year / configuration truck do you have?
My 95 F250 two-wheel-drive worked great with 255/85 x 16 Cooper Discoverer LT tires, does even better with the new 285/75 x 16 Cooper Discoverer ATR tires (virtually the same height, a couple inches wider).

Scott, on my work truck I went to 285/75 16 BFG AT's they are a touch taller and a little widder they did not rub but they did not last either. Wore them out in about 20000 miles. Hope this helps. Green Bay is that like Canada where you have three seasons, This winter, Last Winter and next Winter.

I am running 305-70-16's on stock rims. I have no rubbing issues and do not have a lift or leveling kit. 195-75-16's are acutally .25" taller and slightly narrower, and a 315-70-16 is the same height as the 195's, but an inch wider. I believe that any of these will fit on your mule on stock rims, but as soon as you go with wider rims, I would expect you to start having rubbing issues. Some of the other folks on here have aftermarket rims...hopefully they will chime in.
