Okay, this is driving me crazy. I'm going to be needing new tires by the end of this year. Currently I have 275/65R18 (approx. 32" tire). I'd like to go up to a 33 - 34" tire. The problem I'm having finding a tire is all the sites I go to just suggest stock size tires for replacements. I have to guess what sizes they might have, such as 295/65R18 (or whatever). Really hit or miss if that's a size they make. Mostly I get "sorry, no matches." Any suggestions on how I can find larger tires.
Well, since you seem comfortable using the web, go to tirerack,
pick tire by size,
then look at the selection they offer. Pick one you might want, then click on specs above that tire.
That takes you to a page with lots of info. find the diameters on that page, go to the tires size that you think you want, then look for that tire size.
Or select tire by size 33 or 35 (sorry no 34 listed), then select width, 12.5 example, then 18.

That's one of the sites I've tried. I tried 295/75R18, 295/65R18, 305/70R18, tried 33" with a variety of widthes, etc... "sorry, no match."
Maybe you had better luck finding a larger size? Not to make things more complicated but I actually like the stock 5-spoke rims and would like to stick with them.
Thanks, guys. I'll give bfg a try. I did find another site where it's pretty easy to find larger tires by rim size. These large tires + 18" rims aint cheap, I'm finding!
Call or better still go by a local tire store or 4x4 shop and talk personally with someone. If they have an ounce of experience they should be able to help you. Then take that info to the web and hopefully you can find what you are looking for!!
Let us know what you find. I have been searching for a month now. I think it will be cheeper in the long run to step up to 20 inch wheels. Much more to choose from in 20's and and the next set of tires will be a lot cheeper.

While I usually agree about talking to local people, this is one that I have to disagree with. That's because the tire guys in my city are about evenly split between commission salesmen that will lie through their teeth, and ignorant clerks that can barely understand their picture level books.
If you can find someone that knows what they are doing, then this will work. Maybe 3 shops of 60 local shops could give you an accurate answer.
Best of luck
Chris
