No start problem
Yes, I did search. My problem is slightly different. Sometimes this problem occurs, sometimes it doesn't. There doesn't seem to be any pattern to when it occurs. The problems is I will turn the key and hear a click. Lights work fine, radio works, etc. I'll turn the truck off, and try again. Sometimes on the second try it will start up, sometimes not until the third or fourth try. It just started happening in the past couple months, becoming more and more frequent. The difference in my problem and all the others I saw posted, is that my truck will start, whereas most people said their truck wouldn't. So, I cleaned the ground points real well, and that made no difference. As I understand the next 3 culprits to examine are the battery, the starter and the fender mounted relay. Another possibility would be the ignition itself. Any tips on which one to begin with?
