I have been having problems with my truck starting. Sometimes it starts right up and runs perfect, sometimes it takes a few tries, and sometimes it won't start at all just tuns over then if you come back a few hours later it will start perfect first try. my fuel gauge also doesn't work so don't. no if that has anything to do with it thinking probably the fuel pump just was wanting some other opinions thanks. The fuel pump does run every time you try starting wether it starts or not.

 

Does the fuel pump run continiously or for about 1-2 seconds then stop ????

Here's a possibility for random no start, intermittant no start, etc.

Our PCM's are aging and failing quite frequently now.
This may or may not be your current problem, but in all likelyhood it'll become an issue that you'll have to deal with.

yes the pump runs for 1-2 seconds then stops...ok I will look it to that...only a few times wile drive has motor cut out them come back on, do you still think it could be what you said.

 

Could be a bad ground. Try taking them off and cleaning the ends/ground points well. Also, check the ground cable for possible corrosion under the insulation.
