my 96F150 running lean?!?

Hey, the other day my check engine light came on my 96 f150 5.8L, so I unhooked the battery cable and reset the computer. I drove for probley 10 miles and it came on again. So I went to checker and had the codes pulled and it said it was running lean on both sides. So I had the codes cleared and drove 200 miles befor the light came on again. It usually comes on when driving in town. Any ideas what could cause it to do that? If it keeps bothering I will just have to bring it to the stealership but I figured id see if you have any ideas first. Thanks!
