Friday, got out there and vacuumed up a spot on one of the benches. Then had a frosty one.

Saturday, got out there and put away several hand tools. Then had a frosty one.

Sunday, got out there and changed one of the fluorescent bulbs. Then had a frosty one.

Today, uh ... I can't remember. But I know I had a frosty one.

I got keys made for both of my trucks. I only had one key for each of them and did not want to waste the functioning and matching igniton and door locks on both trucks (49's). Still waiting on title issues on the F1 before doing anything else.

As for progress... well I'll just let you know I've been reading these forms for a while now and I finally broke down and purchased my own little money pit this past weekend, ('55 F-250). So I guess that as for progress, you can consider hauling it back to the garge and unloading it a big step in the right direction. It will be a slow project though as i'm still in college for engineering at ISU (grades should come first). So you can probably expect to hear from me several more times over the next couple of years.

Scott, welcome to the 48-60 Forum. Since you've been lurking a bit, you are aware of the often zoo-like nature of the preserve I so humbly look after. Jump in, the water's fine and we like to answer questions.

When you get a chance, read the stickies at the top of the forum and get your gallery set up so we can see your new best friend.

Scottjo,
Welcome to the board, yes, grades come first!! I feel for you but it will all pay off in the long run. I did the college thing late in life with 2 kids and a mortgage and trying to build cars (I was in college when I traded a 49 Pontiac for my 49 F1).
Keep a good attitude and when you need a break from cramming your head into all of that ugly math that is involved in some of that engineering then head out to the garage and grab a frosty beverage and start dreaming.

George, I didn't know we could count the frosty beverages as progress?? If thats the case then I made tons of progress!!!!!!

Just for the record, I am doing my part as an individual to keep the Corona people and the lime growers gainfully employed. I don't spend ALL of my time in the shop, at least not working in the shop.

Fenders,
Oh no! I feel awful, I'm not pulling my full weight here. I've been very busy keeping the people (not too mention those huge horses) in St Louis gainfully employed but I've completey overlooked the citrus growers. I am also seriously endangering myself and could fall victim to scurvy or some other nasty disease...
...I've made up my mind, tonight I'll dutifully mix up a few gin and tonics or vodka tonics, thereby doing my part for the citrus growers and protecting myself from scurvy and malaria all at the same time.

Thank you so much for allowing me to see the error of my ways (with a couple of tonics under the belt I shold be able to get some serious dreamign done on the truck!!)

Bobby
