MSD Digital Propane Injection

HI, I thought I would start a new form on the MSD Digital Propane Injection. I am thinking about getting the kit and would like some feed back on anyone that is running it. I have a 05 diesel 6.0. Any feed back would be great. Thank you.

I would like to know if you can use it in conjunction with chips, exhaust, intake upgrade, or would it be better used all by itself?

Thats a good question as I am running a Banks 6-gun. I think the propane doesn't interfere with the banks. But I don't know if the stock transmission would be able to handle another 150 lb-ft of torque.I'll call Banks tomorrow to see what they say.

Sinister,

It will work with any chip and or programmer, they operate seperately. We have sold a few of them for the 6.0's and the customers are happy with the increased MPG and HP etc. The MSD is by far the most advanced and safest out there. We also have tanks and mounting brackets for in bed applications etc.

Mark, I know the MSD limits propane according to boost and other parameters. How will the system respond to aftermarket tuning and boost and fuel levels that are already through the roof? Will it still deliver propane or will it end up nearly cutting the flow to nothing in order to attempt to "control" what it will see as already excessive levels?

It'll still work fine, it will just not allow pane to flow unlress you have met the minimum's of allthe parameters so you don't load the engine up.

If I were to switch my ATS system out for this one, do you have any idea whom I might contact at MSD concerning custom programming of the controller?

I didn't have it on me when you called, but I did see the missed call and got the message....I've just been busy. Still settling in the new house, work, extra curricular stuff, family, etc...
I was on the phone the entire way home and I just had to decompress tonight.

Sinister,

MGP is of course a variable that you control as much any anything, but most folks seem to get 1-3 some say 4 but that's onthe outside edge. The pane/fuel ratio also depends on the throttle setting as it's variable based on MAP load etc.
