lariat captains chairs. nice and comfie. no problem with the arm rest where it is. this my second ford with them and the arm rest is the same size on both.
They're different between an SC and regular/CC? That's weird...
There's no pillar for the SC upper seatbelt anchor. Has to hang from the ceiling.
I occasionally need to get 6 adults (or more) in my truck on the weekends. Capt'n chairs eliminated the choice. Apparently if you have a hard time finding dual benches in a crew cab (as I was looking for an 05 with Lariat trim), consider the 350.

If I'm reading this right, my shoulder belts are anchored on the back of the seat itself... not in the ceiling .. ?
I really don't know why they call them a split bench, They are bucket seats with a nice
comfortable centre console armrest you can turn into another seat. I have them and like them better than the captain chairs. Also in a CC Lariat you get full power seats on both front
seats. In SC Lariat you only get power on the driver's seat.
I always wonder why they do this. When I owned a SC , it always bothered me I could not get power on the passenger side.

Well the fever struck and I traded my '03 last Sat for an '06 F-250 and man is it SWEEET. I got the Cap'n chairs and they are perfect. I've never sat in one with them so never experienced the low armrests that have been described. I can tell you with confidence that these armrests are not low. I am 6'1" and they are plenty high for me... seem just like any other normal armrest height. It would never have crossed my mind if I hadn't heard of them being 'low'. This truck is a sledgehammer!!!!

I like the split. The fold down center console is so large that I find I'm able to move my right arm around on it and never get tired of being in one position. Plus my son wants to sit up front now and then and there's plenty of room for him
Think of it like this: the captains chairs and the passenger/driver seats on the bench are basically the same seats. If you want the extra seating ability of the bench, and the wider armrest, get the split bench. If you want the smaller armrests of the captains chairs, and want the big center console, get the captains chairs.
I dig the bench seat, more like a traditional truck and my wife can slide over within arms length. I can easily seat 6 adults, 3 front and 3 rear. The seats themselves are really the same but the bench version has the larger arm rest/table/writting surface sort of deal. You can slide across side to side, and sleep in the front when you become homeless. On the job it's more usefull overall and for the family more comfortable and close.
