tried installing hypertech 41026 in my 2004 f250 5.4 pickup and its giving me an error code 6d???? what does this mean? it will not go any further........this is after it reads my pcm.......
6D simply means that the calibration in your PCM (Computer) is newer than the current revision of the Programmer. Call Hypertech @ 901-382-8888 and they will give you a return number to send the programmer back. From there, it will be updated and returned to you free of cost, and usually in just a few days.

free of cost, i wish!!!!! they want 200.00 dollars!!!! and they said thats my only way to fix this or purchase a new one!!!!!
I work for Hypertech, and we usually only charge if the unit was purchased for a different truck, or some unusual circumstance. However, if you are the original owner of the Programmer, and have the truck for which the Programmer was purchased, then it should be free. Now, I don't work in sales, but can only recommend calling and speaking with someone about this. Why don't you PM me and let me know the circumstances of this.
