Don't use the 5.0 computer with the 5.8 unless you have a way to check the air/fuel ratio. Then adjust it with a chip, higher fuel pressure or larger injectors. The Ford fuel injection site has a list of PCM codes for those computers, but unfortunately doesn't list the years. I could dig it up, but frankly I'm swamped right now!

i think the webmasters advice is very good...but i did use a 5.0 computer for quite a while after i did the efi conversion on my 83 f150 w/351W. i'm not sure how long it would take, but my guess is the eec-iv would adjust injector pulse times to get the air fuel mixture correct. both 5.0 and 5.8 engines came with 19# fuel injectors. i never had the MIL turn on and never got codes for O2 problems/lean conditions. use a new O2 sensor and check plug color or take it to a shop to check a/f ratio after getting it on the road. if its running too lean you may get some predetonation.
check salvage yards, you will find the right one! i did eventually switch to a 5.8 computer, i had a minor idle problem but i think it was related to the idle speed control circuit.
make sure that wiring harness will work with the 93 computer...not all harnesses are the same! cheers, garsten

Check eBay for a new PCM. I just got one for $48. My 1993 Explorer has a very rare calibration code that know one has ever heard of. I can't believe I actually found it. But I just dropped it off at a local shop who will be sending it to SCT so thay can build a database from it so the local shop can put it on the dyno and program a custom chip for me.
On your Bronco, you're at a little disadvantage since you don't have an original part number and calibration code to work with. If you know your wiring harness is a Fed harness, running multiport fuel injection, and you know its for an auto trans, then just search eBay for a PCM out of that type of car. If the wiring harness is CA, then it is likely sequential fuel injection - my same year Explorer is. Whatever you have, match that and hopefully you can get one cheap like I did.

Any of the EEC's from 351W powered vans, pickups or bronco's will plug into that harness, no problem, and you'd have a factory-like install with factory-like behavior.
If you want to take on a challenge, you can repin your harness, add a MAF sensor and a second O2 sensor, and use the 5.0L mustang A9L or A9P computer, buy a program called Tweecer (one of many choices) and do all sorts of exciting tuning for your specific vechicle.
If not, any 92-94 F-series or Van EEC that comes out of a 5.8L will suit you just fine.
Generally, I've found that the 94 351W automatic tranny van's have a little more aggressive timing built into the EEC's, so they "feel" better to drive. My 93 F350 crewcab has one in it right now...
