My parents bought a HUGE conversion van that we only use when traveling.
Gets like 12mpg slow as crap, but it rides nice, and has a place for my 19in tv, laptop, Xbox. So aslong as i'm not footing the gas bill i won't complain
longest ride I ever did (least it felt that way) was 2,000miles in a Mercury tracer (it's a ford escort pretty much).
topped out around 70mph and was REALLY small. But, the whole trip cost next to nothing.
worst part was my cousin offered to come with me to help drive and he slept all but 3-4 hours of the trip. I let him drive for a while and he kept nodding out at the wheel.
Yo 466,
Get married and have a few kids and you'll love minivans. I hated them too until we had to pack the kid into a Ultima a few times. We got the Oddesy. V6 Vtec 240 hp. I don't know where the tq cure hits but it will deffinalty stick you to the seat. Also has electronic limited slip...goes like a tank in the snow.
The spring before last, I had to use it to pull my 2wd F-150 out of the side yard.
I don't think so.... I think my baby will be rolling in that K2500 Suburban or Excursion with a slight lift, ranch hand bumpers and a jeep type roof rack.
Atleast that's what she wants. I don't care, i won't be buying another truck for a while after i get my IDI i'll get a 4X4 Crewcab 5spd in perfect condition next summer to drive to collage so i don't rack up miles on my 85.
So i'll just save up and buy her a new one. I'm gonna be a shrink so i think i can swing it eventually, defenetly before kids, thats atleast 10 years away
Never seen a minivan pull a truck i'd love to see that.
my grandpa bought a plymouth voyager in 88 the day i was born actually, and just got rid of it, in perfect shape, but the bottom end in the 3.3 started to give out@188,000
He took it up to his vacation house in muskoka, took his Restored 45 Power Wagon, and hooked 300ft of chains to it and drove it off the end of his dock... grandpa's crazy man, winched it out and drove the damn thing over it...Twice. then took it to the local Dodge dealers push pull or drag sale and bought a brand new one and they took the old one as trade.
My grandpas nuts, he's german, got that powerwagon, that mini van, but get this.. an 04 MB AMG with like 3k on it, never drives it.
