A little note on the vacumn created when the filter is dirty, and a reason to do the CCV mod. When I was doing my Kwik filter and CCV mod (did them at the same time) my neighbor who used to work for a ford dealer in DesMoines came over and looked at what I was doing and stated that was a good idea expecially on a diesel like these, he had replaced a couple of engines that the construction guys running in dusty condition had run with dirty air filters to the point of total restriction, and a diesel IS going to get the air one way or another in this case it started pulling it from the crankcase and litterly sucked all the oil out of the engine and pushed it through the turbo. Those engines had virtually no oil left in them, and fried thier engines. For me that was more than enough reason to do the CCV, although I would think the Kwik filter would also help with that. And the filter minder probably isn't a bad idea although I am thinking that with the 6637 filter I am gonna want to change it long before it gets to the point of bieng dirty enough to trip the filter minder.
