Nope...did not drain the converter. When the Amsoil shows up I will. Damn 1300 miles on your Ex. Do you have the new V10 with more HP? Did they change the heads or something? I'd like to transplant that when mine blows up.

I canged mine two days ago. 2000 ex. 7.3 psd with 84,000mi. I didnt see anything mentioned about trans filter being changed. when I pulled mine along with tourqe converter drain plug, I got about 2 qrts. more. this was apx. a total of 14 qrts. drained & refilled. I used valvoline dexron III, MERCON@ ATF.
This amount was about 3.5qrts. less then what my manual recomended.

My transmission failed within 5,000 miles of isntalling Amsoil ATF. It failed at around 40,000 miles.
There is no way to prove it was the Amsoil however. BTW, The 4R100 center support failed.
