302 ford marine engine problems

I will like to say hi to all. I'm new thank you. I just rebuilt my 302 ford from the top to the bottom of the motor. And spend a lot of money can't get the boat to pass 2100 rpm's. call tyhe engine guys they came out and said it was the timming so they took the disturburator and they curve it . still cant pass 2100 rpm. so i change a the gas in the boat new holly cab. everthing new still no luck. please help thank you.

i would say there might be a problem witht he carb and or plugs, with the combo..... is this on salt water or in a lake?

check your ignition setup.

Timing could be not working right, my 393 wouldn't go past 3500 rpm cuz of a timing issue.

I have change the carb and changed the wires and the plug's. please help thank you

it's on salt water

The shop has changed from point's 2 electronic dist.
