Transfer Case shift motor?
I have determined that its my tcsm that is causing my 4x4 not to engage so I found one on line for around 125.00. I got the part and started to change it out only to find out that the stock one that's in the truck has wires that come out of it and go directly into a port in the Transfer case itself with no visible plugs for those particular wires but everything else is exact. Anyone else change out thiers and run into this? My trucks a 2000 5.4 EB with A4WD.
my dash selector looks like this:
AFWD 4HI 4LO

No 2hi option. Any ideas?

I do not believe the Expy uses the shift motor for AWD or 4hi. To my understanding this is an electric clutch in the transfer case. I believe the shift motor is only used to shift the transfer case into 4 low. Someone please correct me if this is wrong.
