I have a 85 F-150 with a 4sp and NP-208. The transfer case slips out of gear going down the road. I picked up another 208 from a C6 Bronco. I am wonderning if this swap can be made...the output shaft on the truck transfer case appears longer than from the Bronco. But everything else at least looks the same.
Any help of if this can be done or what to do about my worn out case would be much appreciated!
The output shafts should be the same. I don't know if this will be an issue, but on newer trucks with the BW13xx case, the Broncos all have fixed yokes, and ther F-series trucks all have slip yokes. Meaning that if you go from one style to the other, you need a new driveshaft that will work between both.
