Yesterday I drove my car for the last time.
It was getting far to expensive to run and insure, and as I am not working full time now, I could not afford it.
I got an offer on it which I couldn't refuse, didn't even need to advertise.
Anyhow, the gentleman which I sold it too came to pick it up around 30mins ago.
I am really going to miss it, but at least I can tick it off in the book, I have "done" the rediculous overpowered car thing.
i've never sold a vehicle of mine I always run them till theres nothing left but it is very sad watching them go. the worst part is poping up the gradge door and seeing the empty spot where your bady once stayed. my dad went through vehicles like crazy when i was growing up. i do remember crying watching them go. it sucks to let one go but hey now you can get a new one and start all over again.
Well, I have wiped the tears away, and manage to bring myself back up...

I am surprised there was anything left...
I treated that car terribly, but it was always pretty good to me. I just couldn't afford to keep it on the road, and it was only going to depreciate like crazy sitting in my garage.
I don't think I am going to get a car to replace it at this stage, I don't want to start another relationship with another vehicle this soon...

Fred, there was an old country and western song that went something like this: There's only one thing that makes you feel better than a woman...another woman. TG Shepherd.
Now, I don't think he meant 2 women at the same time, there - at least, I wouldn't recommend it... But, maybe you need to jump back on another car ASAP. Reckon?
Sorry to hear about your loss, Fred. Need a support group? Don't ask about the group-hug stuff, though...I ain't into that sort of thing.
It is completely normal to have an emotional attachment to a car. Heck, I got uncomfortable while watching an episode of 'The Dukes of Hazzard', when the General was almost crushed. (Of course you knew it wouldn't hapen, but the situation just made me uncomfortable) I haven't owned, or even been close to any General Lee, so I understand completely. I have never had to sell one mine, and I plan on keeping it that way. I'd go crazy.
