Ever have a car or truck that you wish you had never gotten rid of? Be it your first car or truck, or because it was the fastest or looked the badest. Maybe it had lots of potentional but you didn't have the money or time. Or maybe it was beyond your control, like perhaps you wrecked it. Maybe it got stolen. If you could have one car
or truck back that you use to own, what would it be? Mine would be a 1970 Torino with a 351C, two door fast back. I bought for $1800 in Hawaii in 1979 and brought it back to the mainland. I bought it from
an older woman who really took care of it. This car was in excelent shape. No dents or tears anywere. I left it stock but had plans for it later in life. I put a lot of miles on it and it never let me down.
It was our first car when my wife and I were married. The front end needed some work after I had it about 4 yrs. and I didn't have the time or place, money or tools to do it. I had a good friend who really helped me out when I needed it and now he was in need so I gave it to him. No regrets, but I wish I could still have it back. That was 19 years ago.
Mine would be the first vehicle I ever owned. A 1959 F-100 Custom Cab. You described my situation exactly! I was young at the time, didn't have the money to fix her, and forced to sell for more dependable transportation. Man, I really miss that truck!
Al though not ford mine was a 67 GTO that i bought just out of high school it was in mint condition all factory from the tri power to the tailpipes unfortunately some tourist was'nt paying attention and to make a long story short 1-67GTO vs the tourist=GTO RIP :-X23
Mine was a 78 Ranchero GT man I loved that car. Idiot ran a stop sign. The End. The other is a 69 MGB roadster. We had Kids and it is only a two seater. Now I have a Rabit conv. (It was cheap and has four seats).
Man, I had a 69 F-100 Ranger with a transplanted 429, a four barrel as big around as a 5 gallon bucket, Hooker headers, a 4:10 LS rearend....man that thing would haul some serious butt. Only one thing it liked better than gas though, was oil. To the tune of a quart every 500 miles or so. This was in 1982 and the body on that truck was solid, straight, and rust free. The AC even worked. It had a third-rate paint job but none of the discrepancies was anything that a little time and money couldn't fix. Well, then the wife has the gall to get pregnant and what littel disposable cash I had went into diapers and formula. An E-3 in the Air Force didn't make much back then. What an awesome project truck that would have been.
I've owned a lot of cars in the last few years. The one I do regret letting go was a Spanish Red 1967 Olds 442 convertible. It was red with white top, black bench seat interior, Super Stock I wheels, 400 with an automatic. Very nice car...ran out of room and had to start letting stuff go. :-(

I had a 1985 GMC 7000 with the 8.2 liter detroit diesel, 3 speed allison auto, and 32k gvw. short wheelbase. And it was MINT. One tear in the fiberglass fender, but other than that, man it was nice. I bought it for -hold on to your corn cob pipe- 2000 bucks! Then I sold it for $4000.

Regrets?
Yeah, I had a '74 bobtail Bronco. I rebuilt the truck form the ground up and then wife starts pumping out kids (I kinda' think I may have had something to do with that, though). As soon as I finished it I sold it for WAY LESS than I had in it. Still miss that one.
When I was 15 years old I had a girlfriend whos father owned an 63 vette split window 327 FI <sighs> I miss that car even to this day.
The car I owned and miss the most was my first car. She was an 1971 Buick Skylark GS Stage 1. She was owned by the same man that owned the local BPO dealership and had every option you could think of in her.
After ownening her for just a few weeks I roasted the piston rings and spent a summer working two jobs (back when min wage was 1.35hr) to rebuild her. I kept the car till I was 17 and my hellish ways as a youth forced my mother to send me to the Army.
