Hello All!

Hello to everyone, I've already found a treasure trove of info. I'm in the process of removing the drivers side head on my 97 F-150, 4.6L. I've got no compression in the #8 cylinder and the sparkplug was almost melted away. I think I'm going to find something very bad. It's tough going without ford's special tools, but your tips are helping me along. Thanks! I'm going to tackle the exhaust manifold, fan/shroud, timing cover and intake tomorrow and hopefully pop the head right out, yeah right! I'm praying for a mechanically inclined angel to finish it for me tonight, but I don't think my chances are very good.

Hi and welcome to FTE! Be sure to read this to help you around this site: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...d.php?t=300691 There are also State, Provincial and International Chapters located near the bottom of the main forum page.

I hope everything goes well with your truck. If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask (the 97-2003 F-150 and 4.6L engine forums would be your best bet). Good luck!

See ya on the boards!

-Matt
