Am I reading my codes right?

I went on a 400 moile round trip, to get a sidecar bike. Truck ran great on highay, but when I slowed for toll booths, check engine light would come on. After highway speeds again for a while it would go out. I checked the codes today with a meter, I get what looks like ( I I I I I IIII I IIII I). I am assuming this is a 22, 22, sep pulse, then 41, 41. MAP code...what's that? Engine too lean? Should I put the air filter intake snorkel back on? Any tips greatly appreciated. Anybody want a project 1986 goldwing with sidecar? Hal ibn CT

Although I know nothing about reading codes I'll give it a shot.

Sounds like an O2 sensor problem to me, they only work at idle and low RPM's.

I have this problem on mine now, But I know what its from, I have my fuel pressure turned up a tad to high (on purpose), At idle it will come on, Then after about 2000 RPM it'll go off.

that looks like 11, 11 seperator pulse 41,41 to me which is "all ok for KEOE and o2 sensor lean from Constant Memory.

Check your fuel pressures and if you haven't had a new fuel filter in a while go ahead and put one in.

Check for exhaust/vacuum leaks letting in too much air.

All those ok, I would clear the codes (remove the ground jumper while its blinking the codes) and if it reappears I would replace the O2 sensor.

Cheers,
Popa Tim

Lean code

Thanks for the tip. I'll take a look at the things you suggested. I had a pinging problem on hills, and then several cylinders would stop firing (stumbled) until downshifting. I adjusted timing and now it is better. I think it has enough performance to tow my snowmobile trailer with my sidecar bike on it. Now If I can get that light to go away! Hal in CT

The computer uses input from the O2 sensor at all times once the engine is warm, with the exception of full throttle.

Even though it is an O2 sensor code, that doesn't automatically mean the O2 sensor is the culprit of the problem. I would test fuel pressure to make sure it is correct and that the fuel pressure regulator is working correctly and the diaphragm is not broken, allowing un-metered fuel into the intake manifold.
