I'm trying to find a link/info/pics on this type of Harley motorcycle.
It's the vintage 3 wheel Harleys that were used by the police and metermaids in the 50's through the 70's. It's the model that had the storage compartment nestled between the rear wheels.
My searches come up with either trikes, or cycles with sidecars.
Does anyone know the proper term for this type of cycle or a link?
Or were these conversions made for the police/traffic control departments?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

One of the orginal uses.....it was towed behind a car. Auto dealers would come pick up your car for service, tow the servi-car back to the dealer behind the car.
When the dealer finished serivicing the car, the servi-car would again be towed behind the car. The car was returned to the customer, the dealership person would then drive the servi-car back to the dealer.
servicar or trike should work. side car no that bolts to the frame while servicar or trike is a 3 wheeler and has a diff like a normal car .
plus the majoeity were powered by a 45 inch side valve better known as a flathead .i'm not sure about the real late ones as the one i had was a 60 and a flathead powered one.
