I have a 1992 F150 4 x 4 with a 4.9L six and an E40D tranny. A few weeks ago I blew the front seal while towing. I had the tranny shop do the seal, install a HD torque converter and update the pump. The rest of the tranny had all the updates.
Since then, it has a different shifting than before. It seems to rev and delay from 1st to second. I ran my analyzer on it and got the message that the Transmission Oil Temperature Circuit is above maximum voltage.
Suspecting that means it's overheating, I took off the small external tranny cooler yesterday and installed one rated at 24000 lbs. I rechecked it again today and got the same message.
Does anyone know where I should look next or what that message means?
