E4OD problems
Hey, so my truck keeps dropping down a gear and then upshifting and its jeking back and forth, i checked the fluid and it was pretty brown so i added the half a lucas tranny fix i had, and it helped for a bit but its started to act up again. should i put a new filter and fluid in it even though it hasnt even been a year since i had it done last?

i had the exact same problem w/ my 91 150...what fixed mine was replacing the plastic gear in the tranny where the speedo cable is attatched. why its plastic is beyond me but i think it was like $10....its about a 10 min job. fluid & filter is a good idea while you are under it. good luck
