Find the "right" spot to "scritch" and Erde grins up a storm showing her teeth. The others will too. We had one dog, years ago, that would actually "smile" at you in greeting. Her smile was so wrinkled up, she would sneeze.
Some dogs learn this is acceptable with humans although it is an aggressive behavior with other dogs.
One of the best smilin dogs I had was a Great Dane. She was a huge thing weighing in at over 250lb, and when her tail wagged you had to hit the floor because that thing hurt worse than a whip. But when she smiled it made you feel warm inside.
My little Cavalier Liz smiles with her tongue hanging out the side of her mouth, so damn cute... when she runs it looks like a croc in full run... legs sticking straight out the side going full bore, damn near falling on her face at the same time...
