What Axle Is this
Hey guys need some help here I am trying to find out what rear axle this E350 has in it I got the axle code off the door and it's 33 which that tells me that it has 3.54 gears in it. But there is no stamp on the bottom corner off the diff to tell me what it is, my f250 has one. and it's not a sterling b/c it says dana on the diff cover.

what year is it? a lot of the newer e350's had D80's in'em. what does the cover look like (ie, how many bolts, what shape? where's the fillplug, etc)

most likely it is a D70 but count the bolts on the cover or take a picture that we can see it clearly and can verify or amend that comment

it's a D70 of some version either dana 70-1HD or dana 70HD
yes D80's did come with 3.55's from the factory but it was special order item and there weren't very many

I don't think that 3.54s were available in 70s, I thought that is why they made d61s?

Should be a dana 60, there's 2 of those down here on the farm (one in a van and the other in a bus, both are E-350's), and from what i was told they were both 60's, and after checking the axle code and carping the axle weights to other axles i knew what they were also pointed me is this direction.
The 80's came in the 450's and higher and generally have disc's on them as well.
