I recently acquired a Dana 44 front end, it came in a Jeep I bought and the guy I bought if from could not tell me what it came out of. The axle has been shortened and things added and taken off so there are no numbers on the tube of diff to help me.
After all that...my question is Can anyone help me identify this axle?
Here are some clues, drivers side diff location, high pinion and the driver side spring perch is part of the diff casting. It also has a 5 lug bolt pattern....although that is easy to change.
Hopefully one of you Ford guys can identify this for me. If it isn’t a Ford then I can continue my search elsewhere.
I belive jeeps did come with dana 44's other than that i dunno older f-150s also came with a high pinion dana 44 but they would have raidus arms and coil spring perches
get us a few pics of it It could be out of a dodge jeep international also take the cover off and read the number off all the numbers
