Yeah, I was riding a dirtbike before a bmx bike. I currently have a Dr 650 and a 00 Cyclone. Damn that Cyclone is a constant maintenance problem and a huge MONEY PIT. Anybobdy want to buy a Cyclone? It is a little used.
Always wanted a bike but was never allowed one. My dad was killed on his when I was 4. What's the preferrence here? Crotch rockets or cruisers? Seen some nice looking combos. Good power and looked comfortable.
If you start riding, I have a little bit of advice you should consider following.
Riding a Motorcycle is nothing like driving a car. If you can ride a bicycle, then you can ride a motorcycle. But to do it safely follow the rules & use common sense.
Take a rider's safty course & refresher courses periodically.
Don't go crazy. Start with a small bike then slowly work your way up to the larger bikes when you feel comfortable with your skill level. (just because your friend has a VTX 1800, doesn't mean you can handle it saftly).
Never get to confident & always watch yourself & surroundings.
Do I ride?
Yep. Currently have a old XS-650. This has been my first bike since a wrecked a Goldwing 14 years ago.
I was nervous about getting on another bike, that is why I bought a small 650. Been riding now again for 2 years & feel comfortable with my skills again. Currently considering buying a new bike in the spring.
ditchen it is a nice ON road bike and an ok OFF road bike. It is just real heavy and big and the gearing is too tall for trails, but when we hit some farm roads within the trails I usually leave my buddys behind. I am more use to a true trails bike. This is the first dual sport bike I have had and I really do enjoy it. The DR has been airbox moded and jetted and FMF pipe makes hit wheelies with ease now.
Trial bikes are indeed AMAZING. I tried to ride once but the bike was so light it freaked me out. If you want to see pics or videos www.trialstar.co.uk
