hey anyone put a 40 series flowmaster on there 5.4 expedition. i was looking to have one put on this week. any input

 

I have a 40 series dual exit on my 03 expy. Its loud, it sounds awesome though. All depends on how loud you want it.There are times when I'm going around 40-55 mph that I can't really hear what my 3 year old is asking in the back seat. (though that is a positive sometimes)

 

i've got a 3 chamber flowmaster w/3 inch pipe. don't know if it's a 40 series though. personally, i don't like it. there's a constant low freq drone at around 1.7-2.2 rpms, which means if i go on a couple hour drive down the highway i'm listening to this noise for a couple hours.

I have a straight thru Xcelerator 21 inch on my 99 Navi - lots of compliments when I stand on it.

 

Had a 40 series on our 99 si/so and the drone that amm88 is talking about got to be too much, so we went back to stock....

 

I've heard that the 70 series is quieter with almost no cabin drone. Anyone out there able to confirm or deny this? Thanks.
