At first I thought it was just my imagination, but my passenger window seems to be having problems going down. (No comments from the perverts...I already thought of em.) It goes up no problem, the same speed as the drivers side but the down direction, it slows at about half way to the bottom.
Any thoughts?
One guy told me once he puts vasaline on the weatherproofing strips once a year during the summer cause they get dried out, slows window down, harder on motor. But right now im just trying to get my windows to work.
A small amount might be OK, but generally any petroleum based material is bad for rubber (you may know this in regard to certain other rubber "separators"). I think I would use silicone grease or spray.
NAPA has product called Syl-glyde that's especially for rubber, etc. It's silicone grease in about a 5 oz tube. I've used it on weatherstripping with no problem.
