The house I am renting right now was built in sections starting in the early 30s. The first part built was actually the garage, it was built as a workshop for a convent. Ironically, it's the only section of the house that's insulated. The majority of the first floor was added in the mid-30's, then a bedroom off that, then a second floor over a little more than half the house, with two bedrooms. Unfortunately, there is no insulation, the stairs to the second floor are outside, and the whole place is kinda falling apart. The location is great, it's the end of a dead end dirt road, can't see the neighbors, tall trees all around, two streams on the property, but the house is so wasted I can't wait to get out of it.

At least you have great surroundings.
I have " houses to the left of me; houses to the right; here I am; stuck in the middle....".
Those are some old houses. Mine was built in 1963, I have lived in it for 9 years. I have no idea of the history, except that the lady before my family moved in used to rent the rooms out. We have pretty much had to do a complete renovation of the home.
nice house atc, i like all of the trees and nice things. i wish i lived out in the sticks, all the neiborhoors hate it when i start my truck up when im "working" on the exhaust.
