Absolutely no gain. The Ford fuel injection system on the 7.5L has injectors at each cylinder. The turbulence gained under the throttle body has no real effect as it has on the GM "Vortex" system. I would run a can of "Seafoam" through the intake/gas tank system, works wonders in performance and cleans it like rip. Just so you know, I'm not an advocate of a "tune up in a can" type products. I heard about this on the Bronco boards and tried it. About 1/3 can through the brake booster hose into the intake, not booster, she'll smoke like a banshee for a few minutes, then clear up. I now run a can through the fuel tanks every 10,000 miles or so. I've gained about 1.6 mpg which shows it was dirty in the first place.
Hello tex
Where can i get a can of that Sea-Foam. Also can i run it threw a 1988 F350 460??
i bought my 89 f350 with a 460 back in october she seems to have lost alot of power an she's started sputtering an trying to die an it sounds like its back firing any ideas what it could be? i've replaced the fuel filter an tried injecter cleaner
One upgrade that I made to my truck that i was pretty happy with was under drive pulleys from troyer performance. I didn't notice much of power gain but i gained about 1.5 mpg on the highway
