C6 That Won't Quit Leaking

My C6 in my 67 Ranger will not stop leaking flluid out of the hole right beside of the fill tube. Is this hole supposed to have a check valve or something to keep the fluid from blowing out?

Don't know what that hold is your talking about but mine was leaking from where the shift linkage goes into the trans. There's a small seal in there (shift shaft seal) I had to replace to get the leak to stop. Unfortunately, I had to remove the pan, valve body, and linkage from the inside to replace the dumb seal. If it turns out this is where yours is leaking I can offer a little more detailed advice.

It sounds like the tranny may be overheating a bit and puking fluid out the vent. You may want to add an inline cooler in front of the radiator and see if that helps.
