C-6 Dipstick Length

I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to check the length on there C-6 4x4 dipstick. I believe mine is too short causing me to over fill it and thats why my tranny keeps leaking out the weep hole. I thought it was the front seal but i need to verify if its the dipstick before i drop the tranny out of the truck. Thanks!!

I measure 25 & 3/4 overall and 23 & 3/4 to the full mark. Hope this helps!

Yea thats what my research found as well. Thanks OldStyle for looking into that for me.

I believe my tranny doesnt have the correct dipstick. I think its too short (story of my life ). So when its at the "full" mark it drips out the weep hole when running and will puke out about 1/2 cup when put in reverse. When it barely registers on the dipstick it doesnt leak much it all (1 drip every 30 seconds or so while running).

But my dipstick measures bout 22" from bottom of cap to end of stick. Like i said, too short!

You meant the inside bottom of the cap, right?

From the rubber grommet. In other words, where the cap touches the tube.
