Smile Emblem Overlays

I was just wondering if anybody has ever heard of these or had one before. Its basically a multi piece sticker made at a sign shop that goes over the stock emblem. The outside chrome of the emblem remains visible. They are available on ebay for about 8 bucks each or 12 bucks for a pair depending on if you need front and rear or just front. They look pretty cool and are available in quite a few different colors. I was thinking about getting a black and chrome one for my black 95. I was just thinking that they might fall apart or fall off.

They work good, I have the black ones on my on my X, pictures. I got the red one's for my dad's F350 and they look real good.
I have had them on for about 6 months now and they have not faded or torn, they still look like chrome emblems.

That's nice to know. The black one looks good on your X. I was thinking of getting the black or the silver for my 95 F150. My truck is black with the silver two tone down the middle. Any thoughts on which one might look better? I know the black would look good, but the silver might look really good with the two tone paint. I noticed you have a Husky. I had one for about 18 years. Awesome dogs!

They are, but Ryland's has some eating issues. Checking out his website will yield some clarity on that statement.

How true is that! He is actually an overgrown Malamute.
Yea, he likes to eat EVERYTHING! Including 2x4's, plywood, towels, shirts, jeans, ice cream containers, peanut butter jars, toilet paper rolls, and the ocasional tennis ball. I'm building a new site with a Tank blog right now, hope to have it up and running in the next few days. www.tankthemalamute.com
Ill get some pictures of the red ones we put on my dad's truck also.

I put a black 7-piece set (steering wheel, grille, liftgate, and wheels) on my Explorer over a year ago; looks good and no problems, but I keep it garaged so don't know how well they hold up when outside all the time.

Depends on what it is made of and how good the adhesive is. My Edge is called "The Skunk", so I had a 4" vinyl decal made of a cartoon skunk. It hasn't been on long but the maker says it is good for years.
