Acetone removes the paint from your existing badges and leaves them chrome. You should find all the information you need to do this yourself if you follow Big Orn's advise on the search.
I also read here about someone with custom billet aluminum "Super Crewzer" badges, but never heard exactly where to get them from.
Thanks guys. What I plan on doing is going to a junkyard to get some misc. emblems to pratice on, then when I get everything worked out, I'll do it to mine.
If anyone out there knows about those Super Crewzer emblems, I'd like info on those, too.
Also, if anyone knows, do the new style 02?-04 headlights and corners adapt to fit the 99-01s?? Basically what I'm thinking about doing is making my 99 look like a 04 (maybe even 6.0 door emblems??)
I just bought new emblems, acetoned them, removed the old ones and stuck the new ones on. New emblems are $18.50 from Ford, It was much cheaper for me than worring about the paint on my fender.
Don't be a girlie man. You don't need to practice. Acetoning is very easy. Simply make sure you tape the snot out of the surrounding area and you will be fine. Don't waste your spare dough on the spare parts. You can do iiiittt!
Thanks for the confidence, cwb, but I'll probably go along the same lines as Bordaine. It's not much extra money, and it'll save the headache of making sure that you taped around the emblem well enough.
Trust CWB. He's absolutely correct on this one. I taped the snot out of the first and second emblems on my 350. After seeing how much acetone bled through the tape and didn't even faze the paint, I just went for it and did the last 3 without any tape at all. 2 fender emblems, 2 V10 emblems, and the tailgate emblem. Piece of cake. I used a paint brush to get the acetone into the crevices of the emblems and immediately wiped the acetone off with paper towels. Actually, I was more concerned with the tape on because there's no way to keep all the acetone from bleeding under the tape and the tape will hold the acetone against the paint until you're done. Without the tape, I was able to immediately wipe the acetone off the paint. If you're really worried, test a section of paint under the hood or in a door jamb. Let the acetone sit for a minute or two and see if it affects the paint.

I liked the "F-350 Cummins Killer" badges for the side of the truck. What do you think of "F-350 Duramax Duster" for a tailgate badge? First time I've seen a Autometer under dash guage pod, a decent alternative to the a-pillar pod.
